Broken Harmony Win Last Standing

One Scientist, ninety seconds, a highlight, and a song that depends on the hunter’s skin.

Last Standing Guide

Last Standing (the patch notes also say LSS — Last Standing Scientist) is the 1.3.0 endgame. When one Scientist remains, the round timer becomes 1 minute 30 seconds and that survivor is highlighted for 10 seconds. LMS music can change with the Experiment’s equipped skin. This page is only that mode. Learn the full kits first on the Scientist guide and Experiment guide.

The video in the middle is a Raging Eye chase reel. Eye is a 30-second scan; in Last Standing the opening highlight already did that job. Watch how hunters spend the rest of the 90 seconds.

Survivor: the 10-second glow

You will be visible. Do not open a Patient GUI during the glow. Do not cross Heat. Spend the ten seconds rotating to a loop you actually know: a door frame plus a corner, not a dead-end lab. After the glow fades, the hunter’s information resets to sound and Eye.

Mute the music. Comment sections on high-view strategy videos describe a loop that feels unfair to hunters: turn off in-game music, listen to footsteps, peek camera around corners. Heat becomes the remaining damage source if you never get punched. It is legal. It is also why hunters should stop sprinting after the highlight.

Stamina still matters. You cannot sprint for 90 seconds. Walk the loop, sprint only on the punch commit.

Survivor: doors in 1:30

Same as mid-round, tighter. One slam, leave, do not farm the same door. If you trap yourself, Heat plus Punch ends the run. Class S in Last Standing is a different movie: you have a stun every 40 seconds and no tasks anyway. Hold the shot for a Heat throw or a sprint commit, not a panic click at 100 range (the 1.3.5 nerf).

Hunter: spend the highlight

Those ten seconds are a free Raging Eye. Run the glow down, throw Heat on the loop they just showed you, then walk. If you sprint the whole 90 seconds, a mute-audio looper will hear you from a tile away.

If they hug Heat, you get a 5-second speed boost. That is how you break a “perfect” loop. Do not waste Eye the instant the highlight ends; wait until they vanish behind a door.

Punch cooldown is 2 seconds. Respect it. Swinging at a closed door is how 1:30 becomes 0:50 with you staring at wood.

LMS music by skin

1.3.0 started swapping Last Standing tracks for certain Experiment cosmetics: Monitored, Retired, Insatiable, plus the default Experiment sting and kill SFX. Other skins may still play the generic track. If you are the survivor, muting makes the specific song less relevant. If you are the hunter, know which mix you queued — some tracks bury footsteps more than others. Skin ranks are on the Experiment skins list.

Scientist Mesmerizer also has LMS flavor when a Mesmerizing Experiment is in the file. Flavor does not change stamina.

Timer versus kills

Survivors can still theoretically need timer cuts, but opening a Patient in Last Standing is usually a throw. Hunters should still glance at the clock. If 1:30 was set with only a sliver of original time left, you might be racing a leftover cut from a tune that landed as the second-last teammate died. Rare. Play the loop anyway.

Roleplay servers

1.3.5 roleplay servers are not Last Standing practice. Use a private match if public never assigns you Experiment. Assignment notes live on Experiment.

Getting started. Patient tasks so you understand why you should not tune now. Patch 1.5. Controls for mute and camera. Scripts will not help you here in a way that stays on the account.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Scientist, Experiment, and Class S players.

How long is Last Standing?

The timer becomes 1 minute 30 seconds. You are highlighted for the first 10 seconds.

Should I still tune Patients when I am last?

Usually no. You are glowing. Play doors. See Patient tasks for why fails are worse now.

Does muting music really work?

Yes. Footstep audio becomes the tell. Hunters should walk after the highlight. More in the Experiment guide.
