Abilities Guide

Broken Harmony looks like a skin collector. In a round it is four buttons. Scientists sprint, close doors, and tune Patients. The Experiment punches, sprints, pops Raging Eye, and plants Leeking Heat. Class S adds one more: a stun gun that does not exist on Default staff. This page is the kit encyclopedia so you are not hunting cooldowns across three role articles.

Bind names live on controls. Spatial use lives on the facility map. Combat habits live on the Scientist and Experiment tutorials. Here we only pin the numbers that 1.2 through 1.3.5 actually shipped, then flag what Beta 1.5 has not rewritten in public notes.

Experiment kit

Punch. Melee. Cooldown dropped to 2 seconds in 1.2. Whiffing in a door frame is now a real punish. Hitbox size has been retuned several times (1.3.2, 1.3.4); turn hitbox visibility on in settings if punches feel random. Punch is how most chases end. It is not how you find people.

Sprint. Shared idea with survivors, different stamina budget. Emptying the bar in a long hall loses the next door. Walk between Plants of Heat. Sprint to close, not to tour.

Raging Eye. Reveal / momentum tool. Cooldown 40 → 30 seconds in 1.2. Patch 1.3.1 fixed a bug where the highlight did not apply correctly. Use Eye when a survivor breaks line of sight around a door, not when you already see the lab coat. Wasting Eye on a visible target is how Last Standing survivors live.

Leeking Heat. Area trap and the ability that changed the most. After 1.3.5 it highlights nearby Scientists for 2 seconds. If a Scientist stands too close to the puddle, the Experiment gets a 5-second speed boost. Damage was 40 → 30 in the same patch, so Heat is less of a one-shot and more of a scanner. Stun immunity after Heat-related hits went 5 → 10 seconds, which matters when Class S is peeling. Plant Heat on unfinished Patients and T-junctions — see the map.

Some Experiment skins swap Last Standing music (Monitored, Retired / Retried, Insatiable, Default). That is audio, not a new ability. Rank those on the Experiment skins board.

Scientist kit

Scientists do not have a super. Their “abilities” are stamina, doors, and the Patient GUI.

Stamina. Regen slowed in 1.3. Walk between tasks. Sprint off corners and through doors. Last Standing is a mute-audio stamina puzzle, not a highlight race — Last Standing.

Doors. Instant line-of-sight break. Closing one in the hunter’s face is intended. Closing the same one until you trap yourself is how people blame the map.

Patient tuning. Four successes per machine. Each success cuts 5 seconds and pays 15 Data. Fail = highlight + sound. Walking away closes the GUI so you can run. Full minigame: Patient tasks. Tuning now alerts if you miss three times (1.3.4).

Default staff have no gun. Do not stand in Heat “to test.” The puddle still hurts, still scans, and can speed the hunter.

Class S kit

Class S is a purchased role, 950 Data, added in patch 1.3.

  • Health 110, stamina 175 (less stamina than default Scientists).
  • Cannot open Patient GUIs.
  • Gun: aim at the Experiment, land a hit, 3-second stun, 40-second cooldown, 35 Data per successful shot.
  • Range 200 → 100 in 1.3.5. You are a hallway escort, not a sniper.
  • 1.3.3 stopped Class S from earning Data when shooting another Scientist.

Skins for the gun role (Mesmerize, Quotidian, Loser, Superior VIP) are ranked on Class S skins. The gun does not gain damage from a legendary locker.

What is not an ability

VIP Elite and Inferior do not add kit. Microwaves do not add kit. Codes do not add kit — there are still no confirmed strings. Scripts that auto-tune or draw ESP are cheats, not abilities; the scripts hub stays empty on purpose.

LMS tracks, kill SFX, and ragdoll are presentation. They change what you hear in Last Standing. They do not change Punch cooldown.

How to practice one button at a time

Hunter mains: one round Heat only, one round Eye only, then mix. Survivor mains: one round doors only, one round two Patients with permission to leave at two tunes. Class S: hold a medium hall and count the 40-second cooldown out loud so you stop dumping shots at 90 studs.

The mid-article video is a Heat-focused Experiment showcase across skins. Watch the trap placements, then walk the same junctions on the facility map. Report real bugs to 3uf Studios — this fan wiki cannot retune hitboxes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Scientist, Experiment, and Class S players.

What does Raging Eye do in Broken Harmony?

It is the Experiment reveal on a 30-second cooldown after the 1.2 buff. Use it after a door, not on a target you already see. Role sheet: Experiment.

Did Leeking Heat get nerfed?

Damage dropped 40 to 30 in 1.3.5, but it now highlights nearby Scientists and can grant a 5-second speed boost. See patch 1.3.

Does Class S have a unique ability besides the gun?

No. 110 health, 175 stamina, no Patients, stun gun. Cosmetics are on the Class S skins list.

Where are the keybinds?

On the controls page. This article is cooldowns and rules, not keyboard layout.
