Experiment Skins Tier List

Every Experiment in Broken Harmony hunts with Punch, Sprint, Raging Eye, and Leeking Heat. Skins do not unlock secret damage. They change how fast you read a model in a dark corridor and which Last Standing track plays. Rank the cosmetics here, then practice the kit on the Experiment hunt guide. Compare survivor looks on the Scientist skins tier list so you know what you are chasing.

The mid-page video is a Heat / Raging Eye showcase on a post-1.3 skin. Watch the glow, then come back to the table.

S tier

Default. The factory hunter. Highest contrast against lab walls, no extra particle noise when you swing. New Experiment players should stay here until they can land Punch on a 2-second cooldown without guessing the hitbox. Toggle hitbox visibility in settings if the swing feels “rigged,” a complaint you will see under almost every clip.

Insatiable (Legendary). Added in 1.3.0 with its own LMS music. The model stays readable in Heat glow, which matters because Leeking Heat now highlights nearby Scientists and can grant a 5-second speed boost if someone stands in it. Insatiable is the first cosmetic worth a long Data grind if you main hunter.

A tier

Monitored (Epic). 1.2 skin with an LMS track. The “camera / screen” energy is easy to track in Last Standing, but the extra glow can hide a Scientist who already failed a Patient ping. Strong if you play audio-first.

Mesmerizing. Pairs thematically with the Scientist Mesmerizer uniform. Great lobby presence. In chases the brighter outfit can be a gift to loopers who watch your approach around a door — the Scientist guide tells them to slam that door in your face.

Love Shot. A community favorite in clips. Silhouette is unique, which helps teammates call you. Slightly busier arms; do not buy it to “fix” missed Punches.

B tier

Imitator (Rare). 1.2 addition. The joke is that the Experiment copies a Scientist the facility likes — lore-adjacent to Reminiscent. Fun in roleplay servers (1.3.5). In public 7-player games the mimic look can confuse a panicked team for one second, then it becomes a worse read for you in mirrors and windows.

Deficient. Remodeled in 1.3.5. After the remodel it sits in B: better than the old mesh, still easier to lose in dark tiles than Default. Fine for variety.

Sakura. Pretty, seasonal energy, worse in pink-lit rooms. If you keep dying as hunter, this is not the reason — your Heat placement is. Read Last Standing instead of rerolling Sakura.

Retired. Has LMS music. The model reads older and slightly quieter, which is flavor, not a stealth buff. Experiments do not get a smaller terror radius by looking tired.

C tier

Inferior (VIP). Same kit as Default. Buy it if you like the flex and the showcase intros. Do not expect a hidden Melodic Eye. The VIP Experiment slot is a cosmetic, just like Scientist Elite. If your Robux is limited, skip this and keep Data for Class S on the survivor side.

LMS audio cheat sheet

Patch 1.3.0 started swapping Last Standing music by equipped Experiment skin. Confirmed flavor tracks include Monitored, Retired, Insatiable, and the default Experiment sting. If you are the final Scientist, mute in-game music and listen to footsteps — a trick covered on the Last Standing page. Hunters should know which track they just forced onto the lobby so they are not surprised by a quieter mix.

Ability notes that skins do not change

  • Raging Eye cooldown 30 seconds after the 1.2 cut from 40.
  • Punch cooldown 2 seconds.
  • Sprint speed raised to 19 in 1.2.
  • Leeking Heat damage went 25 → 40 → 30. It highlights Scientists, and a close victim gives you a 5-second speed boost.
  • Stun immunity after Class S hits went to 10 seconds in 1.3.5.

Memorize those numbers on the Experiment role page. A Sakura skin will not shorten Eye.

Shopping order

  1. Play Default until you win a public match.
  2. Save Data for Insatiable if you want one legendary.
  3. Pick Monitored or Love Shot for variety.
  4. VIP last.

There are no codes that skip this list. Scripts that auto-equip skins are unnecessary; the locker is in the lobby, mapped on controls.

Return to the tier list hub for the survivor snapshot, or open patch 1.5 if a remodel just shipped.
